Blue Lock Season 3: Release Date, Neo Egoist League Teams & Everything We Know

Last updated: October 17, 2026

Blue Lock Season 3 is officially in production, but it does not have a confirmed release date yet. The new season is called Blue Lock: Neo Egoist League, Studio Eight Bit is animating it again, and it adapts the manga's most popular arc: Isagi and the Blue Lock strikers taking on Europe's top clubs. Here is everything that has been confirmed so far, what is still a rumor, and how to get ready for the Neo Egoist League.

Blue Lock Season 3 at a Glance

Blue Lock Season 3 Release Date: Is It Out Yet?

No. As of October 17, 2026, Blue Lock Season 3 has not premiered and there is no official premiere date. The official Blue Lock anime website still describes the third season as "in production" and does not list a broadcast date, a TV channel or a trailer release.

What about the October 9, 2026 date?

You may have seen posts claiming that Blue Lock Season 3 starts on October 9, 2026. That date was never confirmed by the production team, and the season did not air on that day. The rumor most likely comes from the fact that Season 1 premiered on October 9, 2022 and both previous seasons started in October, so fans assumed the pattern would repeat.

When could Blue Lock Season 3 come out?

This part is our own estimate, not official news. Big anime seasons usually announce their premiere date and a full trailer two to four months before episode 1. Since neither has appeared yet, a premiere before the end of 2026 is very unlikely. A release in 2027 is the realistic expectation. We will update this article as soon as an official date is announced.

Is there a Blue Lock Season 3 trailer?

Not yet. The official Blue Lock anime site has not posted a Season 3 trailer, only the title and key art. Be careful with "official trailer" videos on YouTube that do not come from the official channels. We will add the trailer here as soon as it is released.

What Is the Neo Egoist League About?

Season 2 ended with Blue Lock beating the Japan U-20 team. In the Neo Egoist League, the surviving Blue Lock players are split across five of Europe's top clubs, each led by one of the best strikers in the world, known as a "master". The clubs train the Blue Lock players with their own football philosophy and then face each other in matches that are streamed worldwide.

The twist is the money. After every match, real clubs place bids on each player based on his performance. At the end of the league, the 23 players with the highest valuation are selected for Japan's U-20 World Cup squad. Every goal changes a player's price, and every bad game can end his World Cup dream.

It is the arc where Isagi faces his biggest rival yet, Michael Kaiser, and where Rin, Nagi, Bachira and Barou all go in completely different directions. That is why so many manga readers call it the best part of Blue Lock.
